Ski Mojo user Tony Carr shares his video review and thoughts about the Ski Mojo – which has enabled him to keep telemarking ‘better and longer’.
“The Mojo has helped me ski better and longer”
This is all about the Ski Mojo and how it’s helped me ski better and ski longer. I did it because it can help if you have a knee or leg muscle issues that are impacting your skiing.
Free the heel, free the mind.
Let me first set the scene as to injuries and why I need the Ski Mojo. Firstly, I don’t ski alpine, I ski telemark.
My troubles started with an injury being pulled behind a vehicle in the army, but then also from playing rugby.
Then I got knocked off my bike by a car and during reconstruction, I discovered how arthritic my knee had become.
“The Ski Mojo can make a massive difference”
Telemark skiing is harder than alpine skiing. It’s tougher on the quads and that affects stability of the knee.
Something like the Ski Mojo can make a massive difference, especially if, like me, you’re deficient in the knee area.
What is the Ski Mojo?
It’s a bit like an exoskeleton for your legs. It takes about 30% of the strain on your knees and quads, but at the same time allows you to ski correctly.
I wouldn’t have been able to do a quarter of the run you can see in the video [4m50s in the video above] without the Ski Mojo, because I’d be stopping to try and sort out my knee.
“You don’t need to give up skiing!”
The Ski Mojo has turned my skiing around!
I would like to add that this video has not been done in association with Ski Mojo. I paid the full price and I have no affiliation to Ski Mojo.
I just wanted to let folks know that there is life after serious knee trouble – you don’t need to give up skiing whatsoever. It’s not going to work for everybody, but for most people it will.
Although it costs about £500, when you consider the cost of a ski holiday, that is not bad.
