Jill Whittaker has been using the Ski Mojo to extend her skiing life, despite with arthritis
We asked Jill to tell us some more about her experiences with the Ski Mojo:
“I first started skiing on a school trip to Italy when I was fourteen, 44 years ago. I had a couple of seasons in Chamonix in my 20s, and I’m now lucky to have a home in the French Alps.”
Only one remaining ligament intact…
Being based in the mountains means that Jill has the opportunity to get a lot of skiing in:
“Last season I skied for 54 days and covered 1000 miles & 300,000 metres of vertical.”
Unfortunately Jill suffers from arthritis which has got worse as she’s got older:
“I have one remaining ligament intact in my left knee. The rest have been broken or stretched beyond usefulness.”

Jill has always kept up to date on new developments in skiing and first read about Ski Mojo in a magazine.
“I bought my first Ski Mojo over ten years ago. I had previously used various braces since 1999 when I broke my ACL.”
“I didn’t try it before I bought it, but I did as much research as I could and spoke to a couple of people who had a Ski Mojo including an instructor.”

Jill’s right knee is due for a replacement soon, but with the Ski Mojo she’s confident about continuing her skiing:
“It extends the time I can spend on the mountain without pain. When I first started to use it I found the sensation a bit strange as it does feel like it’s pulling at your legs, but I soon got used to that.”
The Ski Mojo won’t necessarily make you a better skier…
Jill is completely honest about the impact of the Ski Mojo. It might not be for everyone…
“A friend tested one and claimed it didn’t work – however, it seems he thought it was going to automatically make him a better skier…because all the people he knew who had Ski Mojos were better skiers than him!”
